Sidmouth RFC 1st XV suffered heartbreak on Valentine's Day with a one point loss at RWB with the home side scoring a converted try in the dying moments of the match to make the final score 33-32.

The contest was closely fought between the two well matched sides, who are both battling to secure a mid table finish and move away from the lower ends of the league table.

Sidmouth had the better of RWB in the first half with 3 converted tries vs 1 converted try and a penalty. The scoreline was 10-21 at halftime.

Sidmouth's slight drop intensity from the first half allowed the home team to out score Sidmouth 4 tries to 2 in the second half.

Congratulations must go to RWB on their tenacious performance.

The ever dependable George Locke was Sidmouth's player of match.

All wasn't lost though, as Sidmouth picked up a try bonus point as well as a losing bonus point to comfort them on the long bus ride home from Wiltshire.
