The Chiefs recorded their highest score of the season against North Petherton, who normally provide stiff opposition.
It took less then three minutes to open the scoring. Matt Ewings got the touchdown from a lineout catch-and-drive play. Cole Monaghan added the conversion.
From the restart kick, North Petherton were shown the first of four yellow cards when their winger was guilty of a dangerous tackle.
Following a lineout inside the 22, two long passes found Jake Allen in space on the left wing to sprint over in the corner for a converted try.
Cole Monaghan, playing at inside centre with Phil Dollman moving to fly half, beat two defenders on the blindside of a ruck following a turnover to score an unconverted try.
A strong run by Jake Allen on the end of a good handling move set up a good attacking position. A diagonal kick by Phil Dollman found Sam Heathcote in space on the right wing to run in unopposed. The try was converted.
In the 39th minute, the visitors made their first incursion into the Sidmouth 22 but it was the Chiefs who finished the half with a fifth try when George Locke took a short pass from Cole Monaghan to cut through the centre and outpace the full back. The conversion made the halftime score 33-0.
Three minutes after the restart, Dan Armstrong added to his growing tally of tries on the end of a move involving backs and forwards.
Sam Heathcote benefitted from another Dollman diagonal kick but this time it was improvised rather than pre-planned. The try was converted.
Dan Armstrong brought up the 50 points with a try from a tap penalty move from close range.
The Chiefs lost George Locke to the sin bin for handling in a ruck and he was soon followed by the North Petherton hooker for a similar offence.
Cole Monaghan scored his second try on the end of a slick handling move initiated by a quick tap penalty.
North Petherton finished the game with 13 men and uncontested scrums following another yellow card.
